The school has several wonderful, competent, and caring, teachers, but our experience with the principal have been awful. We repeatedly asked that latches be installed and kept on the children’s restroom doors and soap in the dispensers. We were made to feel like we were pests and told that we must understand that it takes time for work-orders to be processed. That was 2 years ago and the problems still persist. The schools safety and injury policies are selectively enforced. Our son suffered a broken bone during P.E. class. While in the nurse’s office, the principal told him how another student broke his arm doing the same exercise when she was the P.E. teacher there but that she still insisted the kids do the exercise. The principal and the nurse then sent our son back to class to finish out the day. No one ever bothered to call us. We picked him up after school swollen, in pain, and half-dressed, he was hurting too much to put his pants back on. When we spoke with the principal about it, she was arrogant and dismissive towards us about the entire incident and said that the school policy was followed and that they would make the same decisions again. So, this could happen to any child attending school there. I strongly advise proceeding with caution, if you are considering this school.
